-A LIST OF RANDOM THINGS You can create your own or, <- use this one.
-PEOPLE To do this experiment you will need 5-8 people. (I chose 7 girls) -PAPER AND PENCILS You are going to need something for them to write on and something to write with. -SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN PLAY THE MUSIC LISTED ABOVE OFF OF you can use a computer, your i-pod, or really anything that can make music.
WHAT TO DO: (Procedure)
Make a list of random things. Your list should include of at least 30 things.
Set up a date to do your test but make sure you have everything ready first.
Have your test taker sit down and explain to them that they will be taking a memory test.
After you have explained that to them do test number 1, have them listen to the sound track as you read out the things on the list. go though it about three times or until your music ends.
Wait about minuet then give your test takers a pencil and pice of paper and get them to write down as many things as they can remember with out the soundtrack.
Then wait for another minuet. After that have them take test number 2. repeat the song but instead of turning the music off, keep the soundtrack going.
Thank your test takers and gather their tests.
Compare the results of the two tests. What one worked better? The one with music or the one without?
